hello, my name is Ali!

I’m an artist and writer who creates comics! I’m the author of the webcomic Duck and Kitten, a comedy about good and evil, and am now seeking to publish my first middle grade graphic novel. In 2023, I was named one of the top 3 Venezuelan cartoonists by Lygno Productions. That year, my work was featured in The 99, a comics anthology led by Eisner-nominated editor David Danemen. In 2024, I was named a LANDO finalist by the de Groot Foundation for a $7000 grant for writers exploring the topics of migration, immigration and refugees.

fun facts about me:

🌍 I’m an immigrant from Anzoátegui, Venezuela who is currently based in Barcelona, Spain.

💛 My name is pronounced like “Muhammad Ali”.

🌈 I identify as genderfluid and my preferred pronouns are alternating between they, she and he. Don't worry if that's too hard, though - it’s impossible to misgender me! :)

SECOND CHANCE

IMMIGRANT

…is an illustrated mini memoir about my experience as an immigrant who self-deported from the U.S twice.

It’s available as a free digital download with a gentle request for readers to donate to groups protecting immigrants' rights, such as Immigrant Defense Project, TIRCC, ICIRR, or any grassroots efforts of your choice.

Please contact me if you'd like to acquire physical copies to use for fundraising. This is not for profit.

DUCK AND KITTEN

Duck and Kitten was my first long-length webcomic series. It’s a comedy about an evil, crime-loving duck and the sweet, innocent kitten that moves in with him. With 50 episodes published, it’s available to read for free on Webtoon.

WEBCOMIC ARCHIVE

My Instagram contains a backlog of comics I posted starting at age nineteen, which attracted a modest following. The account mainly serves as an archive of my early comics since I now rarely post my newest artworks on social media.
